High School & College Crew

High school seniors and college students new to YL are invited to serve as crew.  This is a leadership development and discipleship program for those interested in youth ministry.  They are an integral part of running weekly clubs and may choose to spend a month of their summers working at a Young Life camp on the mainland. Our crew is resposible for helping with setup, food prep, running competitions, participating in skits, and inviting teens to weekly clubs.

Work crew (for high schoolers) and summer staff (for college students) are volunteer opportunities to serve for a month at one of Young Life's incredible camp properties.  They work to help middle and high schoolers have the best week of their lives and catch a glimpse of the gospel in action.  It's not often in life that we get to evaluate our purpose, map out our future, and reflect on our past. As a month-long volunteer at a Young Life camp, these teens and young adults have a chance to grow personally and spiritually, surrounded by other people from all over the world who really want their lives to count for something and who desire to serve as Jesus did thousands of years ago.  Work crew positions include serving meals, washing dishes, cleaning cabins, and beautifying the camp grounds.  Summer staff work in the camp store, snack shop, coffee bar, and help run the ropes course, climbing wall, mountain bikes, and waterfront activities.

If you are interested in getting involved as a high school or college crew member at your local club this year, please call our office and find out how you can be a part of helping teens get to know the God who loves them unconditionally.
